Our standard moving prices include professional movers, a moving truck appropriate for your move size, basic moving equipment (dollies, straps, blankets), furniture protection, and basic liability coverage. Packing materials and packing services are available as add-ons. There are no hidden fees for standard conditions.
We do not charge extra for standard staircases (up to 3 flights). For moves involving more than 3 flights of stairs without elevator access, or long carries over 75 feet from the truck, there may be an additional charge. These factors are always discussed upfront during your quote so there are no surprises on moving day.
We recommend booking at least 2 weeks in advance for local moves and 4 to 6 weeks for long-distance moves. During peak season (May through September and end of month dates), booking 3 to 4 weeks ahead is advisable. However, we do accommodate last-minute moves when our schedule permits, so do not hesitate to call even on short notice.
Yes, all moves include basic liability coverage at no additional cost. This covers items at $0.60 per pound per article. For valuable items, we offer Full Value Protection which covers repair or replacement at current market value. We recommend this option for moves with high-value items. Details are provided in your moving contract.
For safety and legal reasons, we cannot transport hazardous materials including explosives, flammable liquids, propane tanks, pesticides, and certain chemicals. We also cannot move perishable food, plants (for long-distance moves), pets, or items of extreme personal value like cash, jewelry, or important documents. We recommend transporting these yourself.
Yes, we offer full and partial packing services. Our packers are trained in proper packing techniques for all item types, from dishes to electronics to artwork. Packing services are billed at $45 per hour per packer, and all packing materials are included. Many customers choose to pack non-fragile items themselves and have us pack the delicate ones.
We accept all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover), debit cards, cash, certified checks, and bank transfers. Payment is due upon completion of the move. For large moves, we may require a deposit to secure your date. Business accounts with approved credit can receive invoicing with Net 30 terms.
In the rare event of damage, please notify our crew immediately or contact us within 48 hours of your move. Document any damage with photos if possible. We will work with you to resolve the issue promptly. Claims are processed based on your coverage level. Our goal is always to make things right, and most claims are resolved within 2 weeks.
Yes, we understand plans can change. Rescheduling or cancellation is free if done at least 72 hours before your scheduled move. Cancellations within 72 hours may be subject to a fee to cover operational costs. If you need to reschedule, we will do our best to accommodate your preferred new date. Contact us as soon as possible if your plans change.
Yes, we offer moving services seven days a week, including weekends. Saturday moves are available at our standard rates. Sunday moves may have a small premium. We also offer moves on most holidays, though availability is limited and should be booked well in advance. Holiday moves may have additional fees.
Tipping is not required but is always appreciated if you feel our team provided excellent service. A typical tip ranges from $20 to $50 per mover for a full-day job, or 15 to 20 percent of the total move cost divided among the crew. You can tip in cash directly to the movers or add it to your card payment. We also appreciate reviews and referrals!
